Was Ludwig Wittgenstein a Mystic?

The philosopher's greatest work, Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, only makes sense in the light of mysticism

If you bring together two enigmas, do you get a bigger enigma, or do they cancel each other out, like multiplied negative numbers, to produce clarity? The latter, I hope, as I take on Wittgenstein and mysticism.

I've been puzzling over these topics since my philosophy salon met to discuss "The Mysticism of the Tractatus," written in 1966 by B.F. McGuinness. The salon consists of eight or so people, most with graduate degrees in philosophy, who gather in the salon-runner's living room to jaw over a paper. Ludwig Wittgenstein, whom Bertrand Russell described as "the most perfect example I have ever known of genius as traditionally conceived," published only one book during his lifetime, Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus. First issued in German in 1921, Tractatus is a cryptic meditation on what is knowable and unknowable.

"Mysticism" is often used as a derogatory term to describe obscure, fuzzy thinking, or woo. But in "The Mysticism of the Tractatus," McGuiness uses the term to refer to an extraordinary form of perception described by sages east and west. In Varieties of Religious Experience, still the best scholarly treatment of mysticism, William James notes that during a mystical experience you feel as though you are encountering absolute truth, the ground of being, God. These revelations are laden with spiritual significance and accompanied by intense emotions. You often feel a sense of blissful timelessness and oneness with everything (although the experience can also be hellish).

The knowledge imparted by the vision seems to transcend philosophy, science and reason itself. James calls mystical experiences ineffable, which means that they cannot be expressed in ordinary language. The author of the mystical ancient Chinese text Tao Te Ching expressed this idea when he wrote, "Those who know do not speak. Those who speak do not know." The author violates the rule in stating it.

The Tao Te Ching and other mystical tracts seethe with these sorts of Godelian, "this-sentence-is-false" paradoxes, and so does Tractatus. Wittgenstein writes, "Not how the world is the mystical, but that it is." He elaborates: "We feel that even if all possible scientific questions be answered, the problems of life have still not been touched at all. Of course there is then no question left, and just this is the answer. The solution of the problem of life is seen in the vanishing of the problem." Even when the world has been thoroughly explained by science, Wittgenstein seems to be saying, it hasn't really been explained at all. The answer to the riddle of life is that there is no answer.

In his 1966 paper, McGuiness notes that in a "Lecture on Ethics" published after his death in 1951, Wittgenstein described personal experiences with mystical overtones. In one he felt "absolutely safe" and "in the hands of God." In another he was filled with astonishment at existence and saw "the world as a miracle."

"Due to the lack of a state of higher awareness, the planet Earth is a small hell, where by divine grace or infernal evil, the individual neither notices nor evaluates his precarious condition or the cloudiness of his awareness. Like true madmen, each sapiens, like Don Quixote, the Castilian nobleman, strikes out against his own windmill. Thus, battle after battle, youth is lost, illusions die, purity withers, and the last glimmers of lucidity gradually disappear.

If we were perverse gods or immoral despoilers, we could not invent a better method to make a group of slaves work peacefully than to make them believe, by means of collective hypnosis, that they are happy and important. We would then have perfect robots who would work untiringly, producing what we desire. In addition, these robots would make and maintain themselves. It could be argued that sapiens, unlike other species, sows, produces, and labors only for himself and not for other beings. This is true for the products and material sapiens uses for his own maintenance. No non-human species steals the material product of sapiens' efforts.

On the other hand, this is not the case with the subtle fruit produced by the human nervous system in everyday life. This fruit is rapidly reaped by certain beings who are much higher on the evolutionary scale than the human being; veritable gods of space, who profit from human efforts, but in turn fulfill certain cosmic functions and occupy an important position in the universal economy. These beings have been mentioned previously: they are the Archons of Destiny.

All of Earth's inhabitants are under the sway of one or more of these gods, who regulate, shape, and direct the destiny of humanity. But this is not so for the destiny of the Hermeticist, who attains his vital autonomy at a certain moment, releasing himself from the mandate of the Archons.

The Archons of Destiny are terrifying beings, not because they are evil, but due to their cold and inexorable severity in the manipulation of sapiens. If we were to establish a symbol for these beings, no doubt they would be depicted with a whip in their hands, a girdle of bristles or netted wire with which they chastise humanity in order to ensure their progress, although this evolution may be imperceptible during our earthly time. For example these occult judges pitilessly provoke a world war in which millions of people die.

Sapiens, in his extreme fight for existence and in his various relations with the natural and social environments surrounding him, inevitably experiences all kinds of tribulations, suffering, deceptions, and other experiences, both pleasant and unpleasant. As a consequence, his emotional and nervous systems develop certain embodied elements, that are extremely powerful, and which abandon the human body in the form of vibrations (everything vibrates; matter is only vibratory energy). These vibrations are transmitted through antennae incorporated in the biological unit which are tuned to the frequency of the Archons, who then reap this power and use it for purposes we cannot divulge, again stating that they accomplish a cosmic function.

It is thus that sapiens is unwittingly stripped of the most noble product he has produced; the final distillate of human experience, the broth in which lies the blood, the soul, and the very life of the individual. The individual lived for this, suffered, loved, enjoyed, worked, built things, went to war, studied, investigated, only to prepare the golden broth of his life. We must understand that the central computer only exists in relation to the Archons of Destiny as an instrument to control sapiens.

The object of life, the reason for which sapiens was created [via genetic modification/engineering], is not for him to enjoy life in the garden of the Lord, but rather to be a pawn in his vineyards, a worker so perfect he can act as cultivator and food at the same time.

If man could prevent his golden broth from being stolen, with this vital product he could become equal to the gods, rapidly evolving by integrating within himself the products from the chemical laboratory of his physical body. This is exactly what is done by the student of Hermeticism, who is temporarily freed by the Archons of Destiny. This individual, by virtue of his understanding and responsibility, has no need for an overseer with whip in hand to oblige him to evolve through suffering, as he takes responsibility for his evolution into his own hands, and if he deems it necessary, submits himself to the same temporary suffering in order to attain eternal happiness. This is in contrast to the profane or worldly person who chooses fleeting pleasure at the expense of eternal suffering.

Enough revealing of secrets which are hidden from sapiens. Let us spread a cloak of silence on this subject in order to comply with the mandate of the esoteric Sphinx who demands silence. Speech and silence are two swords, which must be handled with sublime skill in order not to disrupt universal harmony. Those who have "eyes to see" will understand everything not stated in the written word, but in the cryptic language of the initiate. For those not in this state, it is best that they understand nothing and continue to sleep tranquilly. Ultimately, the Archons run no risk of a bad harvest from a possible rebellion of sapiens. Sapiens is too blind to see where the danger is really found.

It is sad to observe the tremendous limitation of sapiens, who shuts himself up in the small world of stereotypical concepts, of memorized knowledge, of imitation, and mechanisms of compensation and defense. His mental disability prevents him from realizing just how small the cubicle is which imprisons him. And, thus, with a mind made up in advance, he accepts, condemns, or tolerates without bothering to intelligently analyze the situations with which he is confronted."

Over the last two years, I have been completely alienating myself from my friends and family. This is unusual for me as I have always been fairly social. It was becoming a concern for me as to why this was happening.

After some serious soul searching, I started to come to the conclusion that I don't want to be around people in general because they all seem to be asleep.

They focus all of their energy on things like making money, dating and who's going to be the next president.

I tried to get them to focus on things that really matter, such as the state of their own souls, and for the most part this has fallen on deaf ears. They don't want to accept the truth that history provides for us and they would rather blithely succumb to the inevitable end that ignorance will provide them.

This article helped me to understand that there is a very simple reason that I don't want to associate with regular people anymore. They are stupid.

They may have adequate intelligence to learn the truth of things, yet they would rather live in ignorance than face reality.

I've become totally fed up with that attitude and I guess that I finally hit the boiling point of where I just can't stand it anymore.

I have decided that I will leave myself available to anyone who has the desire to expand their knowledge about these things, but for the most part I will be keeping to myself.

mystery of the alter

Post 8/8 returned to normalcy minus the fairytale programme, the connectedness of all things is just too obvious. Only the flesh now holds me back on this frequency of loss. My only vice is impurity through biological urges that pollute my pristine nature, so although the connectedness is obvious; the appropriate action to take in order to stay balanced remains elusive.

For some reason I don't trust or appreciate balance or the peace vibration enough to move away from lust and surely having a body entails sensation of a physical nature, seems mind is more invloved in this than matter.

Many men go to great lengths to humor me, to catch my eye, it must be the lust for life, the strength, I shrug them off. This will never leave me though it may grow less. I really don't want anxiety or depression but the link is there; the connection to all people and things.

Life has more to do with inclusion through acceptance than elimination through discrimination. Life is holistic. Moving up on the spiral is still the spiral. Leaving behaviour behind that no longer serves us, naturally and in due course, entails accepting the present moment as somehow appropriate. Choose to react in one way or the other based on knowledge and knowing or based on denial of truth, the path of ignorance, deceit and numbness. Constant fulfillment of pleasure equals constant loss of energy.

This dynamic calls for me to master it, I just don't know exactly how and I lack discipline. It calls for me to indulge in it with equal measure. If I flirt with death for too long, it shows me the agenda, causes me to delve deeper; curiosity and pain both force me to see that the body and the mind still control me. Soul rebel would train me, I can't properly enjoy the tension anymore, i can't be enticed long enough to build on such a foundation. In a nutshell: I still havn't kept a space of earth long enough for substance to remain, maintenance of substance is so important.

Is porn harmful?

Pornography has taught me much about the nature of lust, sexuality and perversion, about human nature, the potential of man and the spiritual self and its relationship to the whole.

As for the experience of the astral, telepathy and the control-dynamics, well that would be self-explanatory to those that are conscious of these aspects and how they relate to porn, though how conscious is the man that consumes flesh in this way?
Conscious enough to know that it can be harmful and even destructive (the porn and the energy aroused by it)?
Are the harmful and destructive elements the most attractive maybe, beyond the image, movie or act of sex itself and how in-tune is a man with his inner nature (sexual-spiritual-animal) while using porn?

Pleasure and fulfillment through porn-consumption seems to depend on those participating, I say 'those' because there are beings/spirits/entities as well as humans involved ultimately in any act.

It would be wise at all times to think of the consequences, sex though, it being physical for the most part and instinctive largely, the energy being often volatile and spontaneous can be difficult to handle wisely, if handle/control at all. Complete suppression certainly is not recommended.

May we be aware of the abuse and misery that comes from exploitation and lust, the control dynamics that always involve dark and disruptive elements for all involved and try at least to balance if possible these things with our personal needs and desires.

To condemn porn would be foolish in my opinion, pornography in all of its multiplicity is just too illusive as to be properly understood, at least from any kind of moral standing. It serves a purpose, it exists not without reason, created and purported by man, all part of the show.

Like other aspects of life, the ugly truths sound forth with or without our personal consent or control, or do they, and are they ugly?

The consequences of denying truth may well be considered ugly, the consequences of denying our nature may also be considered ugly; uncomfortable.

Obviously we can choose to be sovereign in our thoughts and our actions to the best of our ability and intent. I have found that there may well be a place for porn in this world; as a teacher, however; once the class has been taken and the lessons learnt, it would be well to move on to the next grade and not get stuck.

This has been and is a lesson about service to others during a time of indulgent service to self.

Information must be utilized to have any significance.

All there is is lessons. This is one infinite school. There is no other reason for anything to exist. Even inanimate matter learns it is all an “Illusion.” Each individual possesses all of creation within their minds. Now, contemplate for a moment. Each soul is all powerful and can create or destroy all existence if you know how. You and us and all others are interconnected by our mutual possession of all there is. You may create alternative universes if you wish and dwell within. You are all a duplicate of the universe within which you dwell. Your mind represents all that exists. It is “fun” to see how much you can access.

trusting the obnoxious process

During this extreme time I feel the need to document some more vibes, I know it is another big squeeze because the intensity is almost too much to handle. Although I decided to give up the struggle, another illusion, I keep seeing identical double digits on clocks multiple times per day and I know that there is something going on, a larger plan, because I have been having unusual experiences for years now.

It cannot be that what I have learnt about energy work and healing modalities has been for nothing, that too must have some significance for the future, it must be that I am awake for a reason and that all the confusion and complication right now is part of the process. There must be some meaning for the future that I know all that I know; I refuse to believe that it is all just randomness.

A future self can come ‘back’ to my time and help me out, surely? All is happening simultaneously so backwards and forwards are 3D structures but the clocks, the double numbers? It seems to me more like a great pushing of some force, forcing me to encounter the world, there’s simply no time for zoning out properly; it’s all responsibility stuff in my face.

This brings me of course towards that understanding of comfort zone: perceived negativity leading me into the new because I know that if everything was peace and love I wouldn’t budge an inch and the experiences would keep on repeating themselves monotonously. Getting all worked up about being bored when suffering this time isn’t boring, it’s just exhausting. All part of the show!

My higher self with a wisdom age far beyond my years with experience from multiple lifetimes, it jumped ship and now it’s me in my late twenties on the brow, clinging on for dear life. The waves come high, the storm is terrible and I must navigate this human mess-age on my own. It’s why the pain and suffering is there, as a catalyst, as a contrast, as a means of transport. On the other side awaits the calm, so ride it out sailor boy.

Atlantis - Early Stages of Development

The people of Atlantis were to pass through the same stages of development as the other four races in the various lands, although their progress was to be more rapid. Unlike the rest of the world, the Atlantians as a nation were a peaceful people at this time and more readily made use of the laws of nature.

Stone was first utilized in implements to secure food and protect themselves from the animals. At an early period houses of wood, then of stone, circular in shape, were built. First the Atlantians were hunters; then herders and farmers, using tools of stone and wood. Fire and natural gas were among the first discoveries; iron and copper quickly followed. Soon they were fabricating balloons from the hides of elephants and other large animlas and using them for the moving of building materials. Communities and communication slowly came into existance.

The main problem they faced were the enormous carnivorous beasts that roamed the forests of the mountains and the jungles of the valleys. Giant fowls hovered above the earth, feeding upon and devouring whatvere was at hand. Physically inept in comparison, man had one superior weapon of defense: the soul-force, or mind. By exercising the power of will and reason, he was able to survive the brute strength of the animals, whose rule was the Survival of the Fittest.

Still relatively close to God although he had fallen into matter, man during his first thousand years on earth was possessed of a body through which the soul expressed itself much more easily than later was to be the case. Occult powers were commonplace. The third eye or pituitary gland, located near the centre of the forehead, was highly developed. Through this gland functioned the creative psychic abilities of the soul.

Yet man was continually drifting away from his source and submerging more and more into the material world with all it's temporal interests; thus he was eventually to lose - for all practical purposes - this God-given power. These gifts of the spirit would remain submerged until men had again spiritualized themselves in thought and deed. Few were able to do so.

The animal kingdom became an increasing problem, and the constant threat of death made life miserable. A council of wise men of five nations of the world, representing the five races, was called around 52,000 B.C. Representaives of came from the white race in the Caucasus, the Carpathian Mountains of Central Europe, and Persia; from the yellow race in what later became the Gobi desert: the black race in the Sudan and upper West Africa; and the brown race in Lemuria. In the first meeting for united action, ways and means of were planned for combating the creatures overrunning the earth in so many places. Discussions for defense centered around the use of the potent chemical forces in the elements of the earth and air. The decisons made proved to be effective, but they had unexpected and far-reaching consequences during the years ahead.

the write riddle

I must write what I know, but I know not what to write. I don’t know what to make of this life.

One moment I feel joy to be part of this world and another moment I fall apart on the floor and I know tears. For many years I have known sorrow and war.

Is this what I know?

I must write what I feel, but I don’t feel right.

Sometimes I take delight in simple things but later on I‘m afraid about future states of mind that are unkind.

This must be what living is like for me. These are the eyes with which I see.

Are these my hands with which I write?

I must write what is real but what is there at the core?

There are stories about people, images of moments, emotions and more.

Who am I? What am I here for?

I am here to write about something real knowing then that I cannot write.

At the core there is no right or wrong only silence, no words, and no violence. No reason for writing or fighting.

Nothing exists at the core.

Does nothing real exist?

These last few days I have felt a deep sadness. I feel like I don’t know who I am anymore.

So we have this situation and I think it’s all registering on you, isn’t it? So, now, it’s pretty evident that we are all going to be going completely out of our minds. It’s gonna happen. So we might as well go ahead and look at what’s out there, outside of your mind. What’s out there is your intuition. What is outside of your own mind is your Intuition. Your own personal knowing. Your own personal power. Intuition—your own knowing without having to rely on any outside information or evidence whatsoever—was given a death sentence by the Catholics during the Inquisition. They murdered over 4 Million women for having intuition. [There was a news story, where the Pope was asking for forgiveness for what the Catholic Church had done during the Inquisition.] Should we go ahead and forgive them? I think so. Those 4 million women, anybody, anybody who professed to know something without first producing the actual physical evidence on how they came to know it, was declared a witch and they were burned and dragged and stabbed. They were persecuted. As a result, intuition went out of style. We just put it on the shelf. The Catholics knew what they were doing because this is your personal power, it’s your own power, and you know the law of supply and demand. If everyone’s got power then what’s mine worth. If nobody’s got power and I’ve got it, mine’s worth a whole lot more. And that’s what they were doing to everybody. And that caught on and has been brought forward to the situation we’re in right now. And thank you Pope for asking for forgiveness; it’s about time.

Intuition

You know we pay athletes a lot of money, don’t we? To play silly games, don’t we? It’s almost ludicrous, almost crazy, millions of dollars a year to go out and play a game. Are we nuts? Maybe not. Because you see these athletes when they’re out there under very stressful conditions; playing for a national championship, with all kinds of money and your next year’s career on the line and all kinds of endorsements and all that; under tremendous stress. Instead of going into the fight or flight syndrome, which would have them kicked off the court or off the team, instead of doing that, these guys routinely go into the zone and they make the spectacular play. Under tremendous stress, with everything happening all at once, they just go step back, see and know everything about the moment. Have you read any of those interviews with the quarterbacks or hockey players who see the play in slow motion? Have you heard about that? That’s how they stay in the game, by being in the zone, riding their intuition. There is no time to think about it; if you think about it, you’ve lost.

Being in the zone, being in their intuition is why we pay them the money, because they are doing something that we know is vitally important, something that we admire. We admire it; that’s why we pay for it. Those clothes that you’re wearing, I bet that at some time or another you bought them. And the reason you paid anything for them is because you admired that apparel. And the more you admire something, the more it is worth to you, and the more you will pay. And that’s really the basis of all exchange; is how much it is admired. You can even admire how much you hate something, or how much distaste you have for it, or how ugly something is, can’t you? Ugh, that’s ugly. It’s an amount of admiration. In fact, it’s what beings exchange. Beings exchange admiration rather than money or thoughts or communication. They really exchange admiration between one another. If you want to know where the economy is moving to, it’s moving away from money, isn’t it? It’s moving into the exchange of admiration, rather than physical goods.

But this intuition, being in the zone is very, very important. And, since we are all going to be going out of our minds…oh, you’ll still have one. It’s sort of like you still have bodies; we’re using those as a vehicle. You’ll still have a mind, you can still add 2 and 2 and that kind of thing. But when it comes down to dealing with changes, and the amount of rapid change that is coming, this is the only thing that will work (Intuition). We will not have time to think it through, you will only have time to take the action. And when you’re thinking, when you’re using the mind, what’s also in there is all the fears, doubts, worry. Big clue, how do you know it’s your intuition and not your mind? Your intuition is always, no matter the circumstance—and you guys that were in the accidents, remember—when you are engaged in your intuition, there is no fear. There was a calm certainty a knowing of what to do. There was no time to worry about whether you were doing this right or wrong; it was direct action. Your intuition no matter what or how dire the circumstances, your intuition will always be calm and knowing. Your mind, on the other hand, will throw in the kitchen sink. I’ve talked to some people who have shared experiences about these accidents and whatnot, they made it through the experience and other passengers or companions didn’t survive the situation. And these people knew exactly why the passengers didn’t survive and they did. It was because they personally stayed right there in the moment. While the other passenger was going... “Oh, no, I’m denying this is happening at all.” They were in their mind; the survivor was in their intuition. That’s how important this is.

Stress and the Mind

The mind is a tool that’s suppose to do its job: seeing the similarities and differences so that you can make decisions concerning your survival. Now when the mind—which is a self-preserving mechanism—when the mind understands that it can’t do its job, or its not adequately able to make good decisions about your future, it’s got a built in, evolved in, safety over-ride system. And it goes in stages. The first stage of that safety over-ride is called stress. When your mind is not sure of what’s coming, it sends your body a signal. This is your walk-away response. You’re supposed to get up and walk away. Animals have this down really good. A dog will smell something weird and will just get up and leave. Us on the other hand, we have had parents and teachers and now employers who would not have us just get up and walk away, right. So, we have adapted to stress; as a matter of fact, stress is a character evaluation on you. How much stress can you handle?? That’s right, because if you could handle more stress, you’d go further up the corporate ladder. That’s really what the glass ceiling is on each person; how much stress can you handle? [I was just going to say that most disability companies no longer accept stress as a reason for being away from work. You cannot get that coverage anymore, as of 2 years ago.] Right. Meanwhile, doctors, the AMA, proclaims that 80% of everything that goes wrong with your body begins with stress. Stress is such an epidemic proportion that all the benefits that used to be afforded to workers for stress have been cut off. Everybody’s got stress; it’s a pandemic.

If you make a telephone call, you’re hooked up to computers that are making something like 4-5 billion decisions per second. Your mind is doing 24. Consciousness is moving at at least 5 billion decisions per second.

Do you understand that consciousness is as fast as you can realize, so now we’re talking about nano-seconds which is one hundredth thousandth of a second. Wow. Consciousness has just sped away from your mind. It used to be, when this territory was settled the people who settled it built everything in their house from the foundation, to the floor, to the windows, to the bunk beds, to the chairs, to the tables. Everything they built with their own hands didn’t they? Except maybe the pump and the skillet; everything else, they built it. They even had a certain amount of knowing about how to do it; they knew how to do it. Go ahead, go home and build a light bulb. That kind of thing is a source for stress. When your computer goes down, there’s a whole lot that the mind doesn’t know about, and it generates this stress. Like I said it’s a pandemic everywhere.

Fight or Flight

Okay so you’re supposed to handle the stress; you’re suppose to adapt to stress and the stress builds and as we’ve just seen that this acceleration continues to accelerate. So what’s next, if you don’t handle the stress, then you go into this. The mind goes into the fight or flight. Now here, all logic is suspended. There is no similarity or difference any more. It’s just a drop of adrenaline in your system and the body is supposed to either run away or fight its way out to preserve your way of survival. That’s the mechanism. This though, this fight or flight, this is desk-rage, this is road-rage, this is Columbine High School, this is terrorism and all wars. That’s what this is. And that is on a massive increase, isn’t it?

Going Unconscious

So what happens if you can’t fight your way out and you can’t run away? For instance, if you go in and punch the boss in the nose or your teacher, you’re going to end up in jail or at least out of a job. Right. So if you can’t fight your way out and you can’t run away, what’s left? There’s one last ditch effort on the part of the mind to survive this: unconsciousness. If you can’t run away or fight your way out, what are you supposed to do if a bear attacks you? You’re supposed to play dead. Maybe he’ll only eat your arm. You’ve seen other animals use that technique, haven’t you? They get caught and they just turn over on their back with their belly up and they play dead. It is a survival tactic. It also happens to be the mother of all addictions and the father of all suicides. Basically this is the denial of experience. All addictions are a person’s chosen method to remain unconscious. And it doesn’t matter if it’s alcohol or drugs or work or gambling or shopping or sitcoms. All addictions are a chosen method to stay unconscious. And how many people do you know, yourself excluded, who are stuck in that sort of thing? A whole bunch of people, huh? You’re starting to get the impact of what this acceleration means. 400 years ago, people had lots of time to sit and ponder things, before they changed. And 400 years ago, you had lots of 24ths of a second to work it out. Now it’s not that way and it’s going to get faster and faster on everybody you know, including yourself. This is a serious situation; this is why the world looks like it’s going to pieces, because it is. The mind was not built for speed. It was evolved when things were going a lot slower. Trying to keep your mind up to speed is sort of like taking your donkey for a run behind the family station wagon at 75 miles per hour. It’s just not pretty. But that’s what’s happening to everyone and it’s going to get even more dramatic in the future. If it's not the mind then what?

The Story of Creation: Atlantis (Part 2)

The Atlantians used crystal energy to run almost every aspect of society. They had one great crystal which was the major energy source for the entire continent. It ran cars, ships, submarines, and airplanes, providing all the energy needs of society. Science was more and more becoming the new god, and people became less and less interested in the presence of God.

The Sons of Belial and negative extraterrestrial influences began to take more and more control over Atlantian civilization. The crystal energy began to be used for warfare and to control the people. One fateful day, Atlantean scientists tried to use the great crystal to send some kind of energy beam through the Earth’s crust for some evil purpose. This precipitated a massive explosion, the likes of which had never before been seen on this planet. This occurred in approximately 28,000 B.C. and resulted in the submergence of Atlantis into three islands. This account was alluded to in the Bible story of Noah’s ark and the great food.

A period of building began in Atlantis after this great catastrophe, but Atlantis never returned to it’s original glory. Atlantis became more and more decadent as time went on. There were great advancements in electricity, atomic power, and the harnessing of the sun’s energy: however, in 10,700 B.C. the country reached it’s depths of moral and spiritual decline. Human sacrifice and sun-worshiping were prevalent, as were adultery and corruption.

The sun crystals were crudely adapted as a means of coercion, torture, and punishment. The common people called the many sun crystals the “terrible crystals.” Gigantic earth changes rocked Atlantis around 9,500 B.C. and Atlantis vanished from the face of the Earth. The explosion was one million times greater than that at Hiroshima.

Those Atlantians serving the Law of One listened to God and the prophets and fled before this catastrophe occurred. They went to Egypt, and they later became known as the Mayans in the Yucatan and as the Iroquois Indians in America. In all these civilizations the influence of Atlantis was felt in the building of pyramids.

All of the secrets of Atlantis are stored in the Hall of Records in the Great Pyramid. These records are mystically protected. Paul Solomon and Edgar Cayce, in their source channeling’s, have said that a great initiate who is now living on the planet, by the name of John of Penial (who is the reincarnation of John the Beloved, the disciple of Christ), will be the great one who will travel to Egypt and release these records.

In the exodus from Atlantis to Egypt they took with them a great spiritual teacher whose name was Thoth. For several thousand years Thoth was incarnated in Egypt, which was a civilization of great spirituality. The pyramids were actually temples of initiation.

Egypt had a great deal of extraterrestrial involvement. The concept of the pyramid comes from other planets. The Egyptian civilization was the blending of consciousness from several other planets.

The United States in now going through a testing period very similar to that of Atlantis fifty thousand years ago. The question is whether our development of science and technology is going to cause us to lose sight of our true reason for being here, which is a more spiritual one.

Women, The Conscience of Humanity

When the ancient civilization of Atlantis reached the same point of evolution as ours today, there was little difference between men and women, except for the obvious physical ones. At that stage in their evolution, Atlanteans discovered that sound, like our laser beam technology today could be used for many wonderful healing applications. But on the diabolical side, the so-called Sons of Belial in Atlantis wanted to use this invention for warfare. Like a bullet, sound could be aimed at a man's heart and cause it to explode. Masses could be exterminated at once.

On this issue, a great rift developed between the men and women of the Atlantean scientific community. Curiously, on one side there were a lot of women while on the other, a majority of men with some exceptions. The women maintained that, "Just because we can do something is no reason to say we should do it. Wherein are we, therefore, beholding to ethics or morals of any kind? Wherein is conscience to be found?"

The opposing side, comprised mostly of men, argued that women were getting soft in the head. They were letting sentimentality get in the way of scientific skill. The men than launched a campaign against the women to discredit, belittle and humiliate them. They won their campaign and unfortunately also destroyed their fairly advanced civilization.

Those same masculine-influenced souls have come to occupy earth over the centuries, carrying with them the same antagonism they had left off with in Atlantis. This has created a "macho" civilization where men dominate business, politics and power. This unbalanced masculine dominating ray is primarily associated with the so-called white races on earth and has a tendency to take and dominate matters by force. These souls promote the "might makes right" syndrome. The result is, that the earth again stands at the same threshold as the Atlanteans did before their destruction, on the brink of war.

Atlantis Channel

Originally there was a planet in our galaxy called Atlantis. The planet housed a multiple civilization of highly evolved beings. They were what we think of as spiritual guides or teachers. At one point hundreds of thousands of years ago, there was a collision with another planet that was much larger and Atlantis was destroyed. The people who inhabited the planet were aware that this was going to happen so they evacuated the planet before the collision occurred. They searched the galaxy for a planet of similar vibrations and atmosphere. They came to Earth and settled here, where they lived on the surface of the planet. Many remained in ships above the planet.

Atlantis has been resettled several times going back over 90,000 years ago. We have had many expressions of the Atlantean energy on the planet from more than one civilization. The original settlers lived in the continent of Atlantis which eventually sank into the seas, due to polar shifts and earth changes. Many Atlanteans went below the surface of the seas and settled in underwater caverns. The tunnels of Atlantis and another civilization, Lemuria, still exist. Atlanteans had many subterranean tunnels which contained giant fire crystals, which was their main source of power. These were quartz crystals - 20 feet tall X 8 feet in diameter. They set up three crystals in a triangular pattern. They had giant copper rods that conducted the energies from the crystals. This created a grid which acted as an apport - bringing things from higher energy into pure material form. This was accomplished through the magnetic configurations of the crystals.

They used telepathic communication. The large quartz crystals amplified the frequencies and vibrations. The population was approximately seven and a half million people. There was no free will. The souls knew why they were there.

The cities were domed with force fields of energies, set into place containing the vibrations of the atmosphere for the souls to exist. Buildings were tall and large. People lived in communities dwellings in attached homes, as opposed to private home. They were shaped in design based on the use of the building. They were based on geometric construction of the building. The tallest building was about 12-14 stories high. Healing centers were triangular in shape. Most buildings were 2-3 stories high. Elders and Priests might live in single dwellings.

There was a main healing temple that was circular with a 60 foot diameter. The domed ceiling contained dozens of crystals that were not so much used for healing - as Atlanteans had no illness. The building was used to balance their frequencies. Sometimes the crystals were used to raise a person's frequency - just as we use them today. The temple of sound was used to align the body's energy centers (chakras).

The pyramids in Atlantis were three sided. They were made of crystals. They were used as antennas to draw and amplify energies from the universe. There were about 100 of these edifices. They were set up in various triangulation patterns all over the planet. They set a global grid work of magnetic energy dividing the planet into different geographic magnetic centers -for population concentration - and to hold the planet in its orbital path. Most of these pyramids, physically do not exist any more. Those that do exist are buried in different areas. The centers where the pyramids exist energetically draw people to them for magnetic initiation > a total alignment of etheric crystalline centers in the person's bodies. Mount Shasta and Sedona are such areas.

In Atlantis, pregnant women were placed in a chamber for 24 hours where a crystal sent information of a higher frequency to the fetus. Children remained with their parents for the first two years of their lives. They were then taken to a central compound where they lived all together with group mothers who raised the children. All of the children got to play with all of the parents every day. There was no child abuse or feelings of lack of love. At adulthood children did not have guilt to caretake parents.

Psychologically parents and children were far more adjusted then they are today. There were schools where students learned on various levels. Crystals were used to program the minds of students with information. These were large crystals - at least 4 feet long - with a point at one end. When a person was old and the body wore out - they were lie down and go to sleep - never to wake again. That person's soul had peace in its relationship with God and understood that the soul would return. There was no fear of death.

The physical body is nothing more than a manifesting consciousness tool of the soul. It is the vehicle through which the soul expresses. When the soul is finished what it is here to do - and the physical body can no longer serve a purpose for the soul - it is within our capacity to close our eyes and for the soul to leave. There is no reason to have prolonged illness and suffering. That is just part of the soul's fear of leaving.

Biogenetic experiments created many mutant strains which eventually threw the balance off. Many of these beings are written about in mythology - mermaids, cyclops, gargoyles. Atlantis was destroyed because of a tremendous amount of negativity as well as polar shifts.

The time has come and has already begun, time to get out of my head and onto the earth, all I have envisioned and all I have lived most of my life has been in my head, a reason why I have loved substances that elevate the mind and enthrall my inner thinking: the dreaming.

It is time to leave my head and direct all the cosmic energy and creative dreaming into the reality, into the streets and towards those I love.

It isn’t easy; it comes with a cost, it takes grounding and a balancing, love for one. Seeds are bursting open, shooting up from underground. The time has come to be, to return from outer space but I don’t know how long it will take before I go running again for my rocket.

In universal mind is contained all thoughts of all sentient beings. When we experience thoughts and emotions based in fear, greed or anger we must ask ourselves; do we want to think that way and give in to the ego's stated position of separate-self mentality. If we answer no then we can change our attitudes and take a position of "Who's mind is this, anyway?". The first and most effective answer to curve us away from parasitic, negative and destructive thoughts is: "It's my mind and I do not want to think that".

The larger observation is that it (creation) is more than your mind. Creation is a part of universal mind. We must honor life's evolution as an evolution that is consciously contributing toward universal mind. This inherently means we must actively choose to not pollute our shared mind, and to work to further evolution and all of life. Thus, being available and of service to universal mind, we must see that the answer to the question "who's mind is this, anyway?" inherently puts us into a greater ethical and compassionate perspective, as we choose to go with the natural, positive aspects within the higher states of universal mind. This allows us to be conscious of the spiritual polluting we could be participating in.

Thoughts have attractive attributes and can manifest thought-form creations, that, once created, have their own consciousness. This is another reason to keep ones thoughts filtered through the heart-mind. The heart-mind is our internal compass for thoughts, and the process of thought-form creation most considerate of universal mind.

Getting caught up in the paradox

The duality of this life just gets more and more intriguing now I choose not to fight it or get too caught up in it. It’s really, really hard to not get caught up and I sometimes feel that it’s better to get caught up in order to maybe change something.

Getting caught up in vicious verbal discussions and heated debates means a descent into the realms of those blinded by illusion and ego struggles, I choose unity.

It’s hard to stay centered in the heart and not move to the mind. All around me the paradoxes and duality flame up. Truth is in the paradox, in the eye of the storm.

There are those close to me that see war as a necessary evil, that think the Bush administration is doing a good thing, that take sides with Israel against Palestine, that have hate and trust issues with minority groups, they justify the use of guns and are racist. They are so close to me that it hurts.

I will not be the one to poke sticks in ant’s nests; I will not feed the fire. Sometimes it’s best to leave people with their cherished illusions; I am someone that stands by his principles. I prefer not to have anything to do with those that base their principles on fear and ignorance but I must. I have to interact with these people, I love them, and they are very close to me. I am in this situation, I am the opposing force, and there must be a reason for this. It is frustrating and sad but I am here, I have put myself in this position and this is my place to shine.

I am just as much part of the paradox and who am I to judge?

This does not mean that I move from my principles or justify the actions of others. Being close to someone does not mean that I have to get all soft and open to their mind state. Peaceful resistance and a non-judgmental heart based foundation are crucial. It starts with the calm and light in me, the inner tends to become the outer. We reach understanding of true love through our negative actions, which is what the duality is there for, we feed it, we nurture it, and it is our school in this age of ethics.

Without darkness there would be no experience of light and so we slowly reach understanding and truth.

The Archetypes

HERO

The word hero is Greek, from a root that means "to protect and to serve".

A Hero is someone who is willing to sacrifice his own needs on behalf of others, like a shepherd who will sacrifice to protect and serve his flock. At the root of the idea of Hero is connected with self-sacrifice.

MENTOR: WISE OLD MAN OR WOMAN

An archetype found frequently in dreams, myths, and stories is the Mentor, usually a positive figure who aids or trains the hero. Campbell's name for this force is the Wise Old Man or Wise Old Woman. This archetype is expressed in all those characters who teach and protect heroes and give them gifts. Whether it's God walking with Adam in the Garden of Eden, Merlin guiding King Arthur, the Fairy Godmother helping Cinderella, or a veteran sergeant giving advice to rookie cop, the relationship between hero and Mentor is one of the richest sources of entertainment in literature and film.

The word "Mentor" comes to us from The Odyssey. A character named Mentor guides the young hero, Telemachus, on his Hero's journey. In fact it's the goddess Athena who helps Telemachus, by assuming the form of Mentor. Mentor's often speak in the voice of a god, or are inspired by divine wisdom. Good teachers and Mentors are enthused, in the original sense of the word. "Enthusiasm" is from the Greek en theos, meaning god-inspired, having a god in you, or being in the presence of a god.

THRESHOLD GUARDIAN

All heroes encounter obstacles on the road to adventure. At each gateway to a new world there are powerful guardians at the threshold, placed to keep the unworthy from entering. They present a menacing face to the hero, but if properly understood, they can be overcome, bypassed, or even turned into allies. Many heroes (and many writers) encounter Threshold Guardians, and understanding their nature can help determine how to handle them.

Threshold Guardians are usually not the main villains or antagonists in stories. Often they will be lieutenants of the villain, lesser thugs or mercenaries hired to guard access to the chief's headquarters. They may also be neutral figures who are simply part of the landscape of the special world. In rare cases they may be secret helpers placed in the hero's path to test her willingness and skill.

HERALD

Often a new force will appear in Act One to bring a challenge to the hero. This is the energy of the Herald archetype. Like the heralds of medieval chivalry, Herald characters issue challenges and announce the coming of significant change.

Typically, in the opening phase of a story, heroes have "gotten by" somehow. They have handled an imbalanced life through a series of defenses or coping mechanisms. Then all at once some new energy enters the story that makes it impossible for the hero to simply get by any longer. A new person, condition, or information shifts the hero's balance, and nothing will ever be the same. A decision must be made, action taken, the conflict faced. A Call to Adventure has been delivered, often by a character who manifests the archetype of the Herald.

SHAPESHIFTER

People often have trouble grasping the elusive archetype of the Shapeshifter, perhaps because its very nature is to be shifting and unstable. Its appearance and characteristics change as soon as you examine it closely. Nonetheless, the Shapeshifter is a powerful archetype and understanding its way can be helpful in storytelling and life.

Heroes frequently encounter figures, often of the opposite sex, whose primary characteristic is that they appear to change constantly from the hero's point of view. Often the hero's love interest or romantic partner will manifest the qualities of a Shapeshifter. We have all experienced relationships in which our partner is fickle, two-faced or bewilderingly changeable.

Shapeshifters change appearance or mood, and are difficult for the hero and the audience to pin down. They may mislead the hero or keep her guessing, and their loyalty or sincerity is often in question. An Ally or friend of the same sex as the hero may also act as a Shapeshifter in a buddy comedy or adventure. Wizards, witches, and ogres are traditional Shapeshifters in the world of fairy tales.

SHADOW

The archetype known as the Shadow represents the energy of the dark side, the unexpressed, unrealized, or rejected aspects of something. Often it's the home of the suppressed monsters of our inner world. Shadows can be all the things we don't like about ourselves, all the dark secrets we can't admit, even to ourselves. The qualities we have renounced and tried to root out still lurk within, operating in the Shadow world of the unconscious. The Shadow can also shelter positive qualities that are in hiding or that we have rejected for some reason.

The negative face of the Shadow in stories is projected onto characters called villains, antagonists, or enemies. Villains and enemies are usually dedicated to the death, destruction or defeat of the hero. Antagonists may not be quite so hostile---they may be Allies who are after the same goal but who disagree with hero's tactics. Antagonists and heroes in conflict are like horses in a team pulling in different directions, while villains and heroes in conflict are like trains on a head-on collision course.

TRICKSTER

The Trickster archetype embodies the energies of mischief and desire for change. All the characters in stories who are primarily clowns or comical sidekicks express this archetype. The specialized form called the Trickster Hero is the leading figure in many myths and is very popular in folklore and fairy tales.

transends the senses

Over the years Gandhi tried many times to prove the existance of God. 'There is an indefinable mysterious power', he wrote, 'which pervades everything. I feel it, though I do not see it. It is this unseen power which makes itself felt and yet defies all proof, because it is so unlike all that I percieve through my senses. It transends the senses.

'But', he added optimistically, 'it is possible to reason out the existance of God to a limited extent...There is an orderliness in the Universe, there is an unalterable law governing everything and every being that exists or lives. It is not a blind law, for no blind law can govern the conduct of human beings...That law then which governs all life is God...I do dimly percieve that whilst everything around me is ever changing, ever dying, there is underlying all that change a living Power that is changeless, that holds all together, that creates, dissolves, and recreates. That informing Power or spirit is God...In the midst of death life persists, in the midst of untruth truth persists, in the midst of darkness light persists. Hence I gather that God is Life, Truth, and Love. He is Love. He is supreme God.'

After this valiant rational effort, Gandhi says, 'But He is no God who merely satisfies the intellect, if He ever does. God to be God must rule the heart and transform it. He must express Himself in every smallest act of his votary. This can only be done through a definate realization more real than the five senses can ever produce. Sense perceptions can be, often are, false and deceptive, however real they may appear to us. Where there is realization outside the senses it is infallible. It is proved not by extraneous evidence but in the transformed conduct and character of those who have felt the real presence of God within.'
