The utterances of the heart— unlike those of the discriminating intellect— always relate to the whole.
- Carl Jung
I love this quote! It is true the intellect is very discriminating; it constantly categorizes and makes unfair divisions of its surrounding. But what is difficult is to come in contact with the heart, how does one do this? One has to go beyond only the emotions, since emotions are largely created by the mind, by culture as well.
